Newsletter January 2006
We hope that you have had a very peaceful Christmas and wish you all a very Happy New Year. For us it has been our busiest time and we are now looking forward to our 37th year in business. We have a few plans to spruce up the old place but will endeavour to retain what we truly believe to be a comfortable and welcoming environment for our customers.
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH – EAT OUR FOR £5 OFFER
We are currently participating in The Daily Telegraph Eat out for £5 offer. Customers wishing to take advantage of this promotion are required to collect vouchers from The Daily Telegraph and to observe the conditions set out by the newspaper. Whilst we are taking part in this promotion we shall still be offering our Regional Evening Set Menu (£16.50) and our Lunchtime Set Menu (£8.50 - £9.50). Further details can be found on our website or on display in the restaurant.
SARDINIAN NIGHT – MONDAY 30TH JANUARY
Now here’s an opportunity to get lost on the magical island of Sardinia. Apparently our chosen destination has it’s own breed of donkey which is unique to this idyllic spot in the Mediterranean, but we shan’t let that worry us too much. We were overwhelmed by the tremendous response we had for our Neapolitan Evening and just as before there will be many interesting dishes to sample. The price will be £16.50 per person and this includes a three-course meal with coffee accompanied by speciality liquor.
VALENTINES DAY
If you book for four persons or more on Valentines Day evening you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of Prosecco (the Italian version of champagne – just a little livelier than the French stuff!). For those of you who wish to go down the more romantic route and dine as a couple we’ll help you along with a bottle of the house champagne for £15. (The French slightly less lively version.)
MOTHERING SUNDAY – 26 MARCH
Once again this year we will be open for lunch on Mothering Sunday. We offer a three-course set lunch menu with coffee for £18.50. This menu has a varied selection of starters with roast dishes and a vegetarian option for the main course, and because it’s Mothering Sunday we naturally have reduced prices for children and the children’s set menu available as well.
AND FINALY
A big thanks to all our customers who have supported us through 2005. We are very much committed to retaining what we have done for the past 37 years; you may even have noticed that we now have our original menu sleeves and business cards back. And just in case any of you out there are wondering if our ‘sprucing up the old place’ means a major overhaul then please don’t panic. You should know us much better by now; it really does mean just a lick of paint.
Best Wishes
Elio and Tracey
